Unfortunately the wind gods were feeling sleepy today and weren’t able to get any racing in. There was good news and bad news from today’s lack of racing. Bad news is that I was just two points out of being in the medal race and would have loved the opportunity to make up those points today. Nevertheless, the good news is that because of my finish at 12th overall, I have qualified for the US Sailing Team Sperry Top-Sider. In doing so, I have clinched a spot to represent the USA at the Olympic Test Event in Rio de Janeiro this coming summer, which will be another great opportunity to race against the best at the Olympic venue. I am stoked on the result and the progress being made as we start 2014. There is a lot of work to be done still, but this shows a solid step in the right direction. Thanks for everyone’s support along the way, great to read your notes after a long day on the water. Cheers!
